About the Land

We would like to acknowledge that we reside on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Kwikwetlem peoples. We are situated near the Port Coquitlam City Centre located along the Coquitlam River in British Columbia. We want to demonstrate respect and extend appreciation for the opportunity to share this space.

 

In the Kwikwetlem people’s traditional language, Kwikwetlem roughly means ‘Red Fish Up the River’. The Kwikwetlem have lived on these lands and fished these rivers since time immemorial. We acknowledge this space with gratitude.
